'All thornless in the Gap' focuses on an area of land known as ‘Seamus Heaney Country’.

 

At the time of making this project, the area was about to see redevelopment as a new branch of the A6 cuts through it.

 

A decision which many people are for, and many against.

 

‘All thornless in the gap’ follows the old A6 road which is to be replaced.

The circles which I place over my images act as a way of combining old and new. The edits highlighting areas that will be seen less frequently by travellers, and also representing the new road which is to be placed on the landscape.
